The 9th EUSAIR Forum, held on May 15–16, 2024, in Šibenik, Croatia, served as a vital platform for stakeholders from the Adriatic-Ionian region to discuss sustainable development. Ana Odak, board member of Gitone Kvarner and President of MARINN – Maritime Innovation Cluster, presented the ZEAS project during the Pillar 1 session: Towards a sustainable, human-centric, and resilient Adriatic and Ionian Maritime Industry.
The session explored aligning technological innovation with skills development in the Adriatic-Ionian macroregion. Ana Odak and other panellists, including representatives from Maritime Technology Cluster FVG and the University of Piraeus, shared actionable strategies for promoting sustainability and resilience in the maritime sector.
ZEAS stood out as a flagship initiative, reflecting EU Green Deal priorities and fostering cohesion for regional sustainable development.
