ZEAS Project Showcases Sustainable Maritime Innovation on Global Stage

The ZEAS project is progressing at full speed, with its innovative goals and vision being presented across a range of high-profile events in 2024. Project partners are actively involved in raising awareness and promoting ZEAS as a leading example of sustainable maritime technology.

The project was presented at several key events, including the Ceremonial Signing of the New KIC Letter of Application in Rijeka in February 2024, where representatives from Lürssen Design Center Kvarner and GITONE Kvarner outlined the project’s mission. In May, the project was featured at two events. The first was the City of the Future: Federal Research Minister in Dialogue, held in Chemnitz, Germany, where it was presented during a visit by the German Federal Minister of Education and supported by TU Chemnitz. The second was the 9th Forum on the EU Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region (EUSAIR) in Šibenik, Croatia. Additionally, the project made an impact at the SMM Exhibition: The Shipbuilding Universe Met in Hamburg in September 2024, where TECO represented ZEAS on a global stage.

These events have provided valuable platforms for promoting ZEAS’ vision of sustainable maritime innovation, bringing it to the attention of a wider audience, including industry leaders, policymakers, and technology experts with a vested interest in green technology and hydrogen-powered solutions for the maritime sector. Each appearance has strengthened ZEAS’ visibility and positioned it as a trailblazing initiative in the drive toward zero-emission maritime transport.
